Daleel Petroleum Careers: The core business of the company is the production of oil, exploiting and optimizing precious future reserves, which is our key contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. Daleel has the Block 5 oil concession to extract hydrocarbons mainly from beneath the Daleel desert. The concession is governed by a Petroleum Agreement with the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
When Daniel took over Block 5 in 2002 it was producing about 4,500 barrels per day (bpd). We used a different approach with horizontal water-flooding technology and gradually managed to increase our production up to almost 41.000 bpd on average in 2013. By 2015 our target is to achieve production of 50,000 barrels per day.
